G.dB.O — colour, cut to shape.

G.dB.O has her studio in Céroux-Mousty, Belgium. Alongside her work decorating furniture, she pursues an artistic practice there: assembling shapes cut from wood, which she then paints one by one.

Her wall sculptures play with bold colour and relief: each piece is a composition of colour fields that answer one another, overlap and find their balance.

The forms are born from the gesture of cutting — curves, points and waves are first drawn in the wood, then colour gives them their voice. Deep blues, vivid reds, muted greens: a joyful palette that never shouts.

A piece never reveals itself at a single glance: the shadow of a relief, the shift of a colour change with the angle. That is why this gallery invites you to move around each work, as you would in the studio.
